The sloped lidded box with bold applied mouldings to the top, with inscribed initials “E W” having remains of original mastic inlay, flanking the original iron butterfly hinges.
Above a front panel elaborately carved with tulips, thistles, carnations, roses and pears. The interior with three original fitted drawers retaining original fruitwood knobs.
