A rare and good Elizabeth I oak joint stool, circa 1580-90.
Having a relatively broad top with ovolo-moulded edge, above thick bicuspid-shaped rails, on fluted-carved ball over baluster-turned legs, joined all round by stretchers with narrow moulded lower outer edge, retaining a significant proportion of the original, finally turned feet, 51cm wide, 31cm deep, 57cm high – Stock Ref: 12796-22.
